Multiple smartphone brands are preparing to release new models in July 2025, making it a crucial month for consumers planning a purchase. While Samsung and OnePlus will take center stage, other notable brands are also launching new devices, providing a wide range of choices across price points.
OnePlus will unveil two smartphones—the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5—during its Summer Launch Event on July 8. The OnePlus Nord 5 will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, while the Nord CE 5 will incorporate MediaTek's Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, which has already powered devices like the Infinix GT 30 Pro and Motorola Edge 60 Pro.
Also expected at the event is the introduction of OnePlus Buds 4, a follow-up to last year’s OnePlus Buds 3, which debuted with the OnePlus 12 series.
Samsung is set to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 8. While the company has not officially named the devices, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 are anticipated to headline the event.
Alongside these foldables, Samsung is also expected to reveal the Galaxy Z Flip FE, Galaxy Watch 8 series, and new Galaxy Buds. A preview of One UI 8 may also be shared.
AI+, a new brand led by Madhav Sheth, will enter the market with two models—Pulse and Nova 5G—on July 8. Flipkart and Shopsy will be the primary sales platforms. The Nova 5G will feature a 50MP main sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and support up to 1TB microSD storage. It will be available in five color variants.
Tecno will release the Pova 7 on July 4 in India. The smartphone features the Delta Light interface with LED lighting around the rear camera. Global specifications indicate it may include a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, 1.5K AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate, 6,000mAh battery, and 70W wired charging.
Honor is also preparing to launch the X9c 5G in India, likely in July. The device will be an Amazon exclusive. Expected features include a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,000 nits peak brightness, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage.
With numerous devices scheduled to release in July, tech buyers are advised to hold off on new purchases until these options are available, offering a clearer perspective on pricing and features across segments.
